How am I supposed to pray when I'm having terrible headaches?
When experiencing severe headaches, it is important to adapt your prayer to accommodate your condition. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ emphasized the importance of maintaining prayer even in difficult circumstances. He mentioned that if one is unable to stand due to a health issue, they should pray while sitting, and if that's not possible, they can pray while lying down. As narrated in Al-Kafi, The sick person prays sitting. If he cannot, he prays lying down, saying takbir, then recites. When he intends to bow, he closes his eyes, glorifies Allah, then opens his eyes, which corresponds to raising his head from bowing
Al-Kafi 4:633.
Moreover, seeking help through prayer is highlighted in the Qur'an as well. Allah advises: Seek help in patience and prayer; and truly it is hard save for the humble-minded
2:45. This verse indicates that prayer is a source of support and comfort, even in times of distress. Therefore, you can perform your prayers in a way that is manageable for you, ensuring that you are still able to fulfill this important obligation while taking care of your health.

His right over the people is that they listen to him and obey him. I said: And what is their right upon him? He said: He divides among them equally and is just in governing the subjects. When this is the case among the people, it does not matter who takes here or there. — OR — The sick person prays sitting. If he cannot, he prays lying down, saying takbir, then recites. When he intends to bow, he closes his eyes, glorifies Allah, then opens his eyes, which corresponds to raising his head from bowing. When he intends to prostrate, he closes his eyes, glorifies Allah, then opens his eyes, which corresponds to raising his head from prostration, then he recites the Tashahhud and ends the prayer.
