Should a Muslim believe in Dinosaurs?

The Qur'an does not explicitly mention dinosaurs; however, it does emphasize the belief in creation and the existence of various forms of life. For instance, in Surah Al-Anbiyaa, it is stated: Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe? 21:30. This verse illustrates the concept of creation and the diversity of life, which can encompass all living beings, including those that existed in prehistoric times.

The broader Islamic perspective encourages believers to seek knowledge and understanding of the world around them. Acknowledging the scientific evidence for dinosaurs, such as fossils and geological findings, does not contradict the core beliefs of Islam.
