Why is homosexuality a sin if Allah made me this way?

In Islam, the belief is that Allah created humanity with a specific purpose and inherent nature, which is to worship Him and adhere to the path He has laid out. In Surah Ar-Room, it is stated, So set thy purpose (O Muhammad) for religion as a man by nature upright - the nature (framed) of Allah, in which He hath created man. There is no altering (the laws of) Allah's creation. That is the right religion, but most men know not - 30:30. This verse emphasizes the idea that human beings are created with a natural disposition (fitrah) that aligns with the worship of Allah and the observance of His commandments.

Islamic teachings hold that engaging in homosexual acts contradicts the natural order established by Allah. This is not an indictment of individuals who may have such inclinations but rather a reflection of the belief that the actions associated with homosexuality are not in alignment with the prescribed way of life that Allah has outlined.
